Most therapists come by this work honestly. I am no exception. Growing up as the middle child in a family of 7 kids gave me insights into how people in close relationships can care for each other deeply and mistreat each other at the same time. My siblings and I experienced multiple types of abuse that continue to affect us into our adult lives.
It wasn’t until my late 20’s that my then wife to be encouraged me to seek counseling or “get help” and I did. I not only appreciated the goals my counselor partnered in helping me with but it also sparked my interest in wanting to work with people with less than perfect stories. After 12 years of marriage and a couple growing boys, I find myself enjoying this work more and more.
My own personal therapy is a continued support for me as I support others through my work.
After graduating from Western Seminary with a Masters of Arts in Marriage & Family Therapy, I became a licensed Sacramento psychotherapist (LMFT119446).
While seeing couples and individuals at Bayside Church in Granite Bay, I also started the Sexual Wholeness Ministry which supported men struggling with unwanted sexual behaviors. My experience has fueled my desire to work with individual adults, couples and groups.
I have had the opportunity to help many individuals better themselves as parents and spouses. The sacred role of walking with someone or a couple through their hurt is often met with the reward of seeing them connect more to themselves and others.
I invite you to reach out to me to join you on your journey to healing and wholeness.
